The Aviation Centre fuel system maintenance facility has been operating since 1995 and is currently the only certified aircraft fuel system repair and overhaul facility in Victoria.  We have currently overhauled/repaired over 3640 fuel system component jobs to date (last updated 4-2-15)!

Located at our Tyabb branch on Western Port Airfield on the Mornington Peninsula, our facility is staffed by technicians with a combined experience of over 50 years, and is equipped with three fuel test rigs (one of which was designed and built in-house).  Our rigs are equipped with precise gauges and custom calibrated electronic flow meters to ensure your fuel system component is tuned to the finest of tolerances.

We recommend and encourage owners of aircraft fitted with float type carburettors to have the latest solid epoxy type float fitted as soon as practical.  These floats do not suffer from the same issues as the hollow soldered brass type floats as they are virtually a one piece part and cannot spring a leak and sink.  Furthermore they are dimensionally smaller and have greater 'bowl clearance' and are therefore less likely to 'hang up' or chafe against the bowl casting.  The video below provides details on the construction and advantages of the solid epoxy type float.
